Club Information
Waunakee Area Lioness Club was chartered on April 28, 1985. Combined Membership and Board meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Waunakee Commnuity Bank, 1351 Water Wheel Road, Waunakee, WI.
Our Community service projects include Children's Vision Screening, Senior Citizens' Christmas Party, and Clothing and food for needy children at Christmas.
Community donations go to: Scholarships, Eye care for needy children, Relay for Life, Neighborhood Connection, and Safety Patrol.
Lioness Charities include: Project Linus, Restoring Hope Transplant House, Lions Children’s Camp, Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, Juvenile Diabetes, Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance, and Multiple Sclerosis.
Our major fundraiser is at the Waunafest in July, where we sponsor a fantastic craft fair, and sell shredded beef and pork sandwiches in the food tent. We also work with the Lions in a foodstand at the village-wide Garage Sale Days in May and Wauktoberfest in the fall. We enjoy a good working relationship with our sponsors, the Waunakee-Westport Lions Club, on many projects, as well as with the Waunakee LEOs Club.
Come join the fun and service to others!
